Digital Camera Review Sites
From MITVWiki
- Amazon.com - Provides perhaps the widest variety of cameras covered. Reviews are written mostly by lay users, and there are no strict metrics across models, so it can be difficult to compare the image quality of two different cameras.
- Steve's Digicams - Many reviews of cameras. Reviews often mainly describe features, but there are some subjective opinions usually on the last page. Provides excellent breakdowns of User Interface and views of camera and it's operation. Numerous standardized test images provide the ability to easily see image quality across models
- Digital Photography Review - Highly technical and expansive reviews of a wide spectrum of digital cameras ranging from snapshot cameras to professional SLR cameras. There is much attention paid to image quality, especially for higher end models.
- Luminous Landscape - Camera reviews tend to focus on the usability and interface considerations of higher end cameras, especially on their suitability for landscape and street photography.
- Cnet: Digital Cameras - Average length and detail of reviews, comparisons and top ranking lists make CNET reviews worthwhile, but lots of advertisements weigh the pages down.
